Video Upload Guide
For Your Interview
If you’re having trouble uploading your video, don’t worry — it’s usually due to file size, recording settings, or weak signal.
Please follow these steps to ensure your video uploads smoothly:
Video Requirements
- Length: under 1 minute
- File size: under 100 MB
- Connection: use a strong Wi-Fi signal, not cellular data
- File type: MP4, MOV, or a standard smartphone format
iPhone / iOS Instructions
- Open Settings → Camera → Record Video.
- Change the setting to one of the following:
- 720p HD at 30 fps (recommended)
- If 720p isn’t available, choose 1080p HD at 30 fps
Avoid 4K or 60 fps, as these create very large files.
- Open your Camera app and record a new video (keep it under 1 minute).
- Connect to Wi-Fi before uploading your video to Typeform.
Tip: You can check your file size by opening the Photos app, tapping the video, and selecting the info (ⓘ) icon.
Android Instructions
(Steps may vary slightly by brand.)
- Open the Camera app → Settings.
- Find Video Size or Resolution.
- Choose HD 720p or 1080p at 30 fps (avoid 4K).
- Record a short clip (under 1 minute).
- Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi, then upload the file to Typeform.
Tip: To check file size, open your Gallery, tap the video, and look for Details or Properties.
If You Still Have Trouble Uploading
- Confirm you’re on Wi-Fi with a strong signal.
- Try closing other apps or browser tabs before uploading.
